Here is a tour which combine cycling and hiking. Season June 1 to August
This is a tour for trained couples and families/groups. In addition, it provides the
opportunity for both cycling and exciting hikes. Pulpit rock and Eagle's Nest/Kjeragbolten is well worth a
visit. It will give you a memory for life.
You get with you patch kit, pump, directions, GPS etc. For the tour. Bring swimsuits and towels to take a small swim if you wish. Packed lunches are also important to take away. There is much scenery but few dining places on the trip. It can be from 25 to 5 degrees C, so it is important to look at the weather report before you go

You get a great start along the Jæren coast past lovely beaches before
heading inland where you ride in wonderful landscapes before getting a great
downhill to the ferry that brings you to overnight at Fløyrli.

Day of stiff legs and aching bones and opportunities to feel the fear of heights. You shall climb up 4444 steps in one of the world's longest wooden staircases.

Now is the time and again feel the fear of heights on Kjeragbolten, Take taxi or use the bike up to Øygardstøl (Eagle's Nest) and get more exercise.

Then it time to get on the bike again. You will be riding from Songesand to Jørpeland there is 600 meters high hill before you roll downwards and have a ride between the mountain and fjord.

Take the early bus to Preikestolen center and walk upto the Pulpit Rock, you are probably not alone for the stunning views.

Then it is the last day on the bike. Enjoy yourselves along the waterfront and the ride into the Sandnes before you can park your bikes at Sola Beach hotel and take one deserved SPA and relax.
Remember that in Norway only "vinmonopolet" selling wine / liquor shop. Liquor shops are found in cities and in some towns. Beer is sold in supermarkets until. 20:00 on weekdays and 18:00 on Saturdays (Sundays closed). It is not lawful to drink alcohol in public places. It is also quite expensive, so you want a nightcap it is wise to bring along from tax free.
When riding in the west
country with some steep uphill / downhill slopes with narrow roads and turns,
alcohol is absolutely not recommended, it is unlawful..
